Micellar What?

Review time!
Hello beauty world! My skin care world has once again been flipped around. From the revolutionary cleansing wipes to these babies right here, Garnier's Micellar Cleansing Water.

I'm always eager to try new skin care and makeup products and share them with you. I have gone through two bottles of the blue cap micellar water and am currently using the pink cap micellar water.
Micellar cleansing water basically gets rid of all your makeup and cleanses your face all in one.

I personally use this to get a clean face and then go back and double cleanse using an organic cleanser for a deeper cleanse. On my lazy days I just soak this baby into a cotton round and just clean off any dirt and grime that may be leftover on my skin.

Dream Cushion Foundation Review + Quick Tutorial

Oh My Cushion!

Make way! 2017 has come bearing loads of all new products. New year, new foundation! Maybelline has released their brand spankin' new "dream cushion foundation". Cushion foundations have been the new trend wave of foundations...in America that is. The concept of cushion foundations has been a popular trend throughout Asia and finally we are able to buy them in our very own drugstores.

The "dream cushion liquid foundation" comes in 8 shades and claims to have medium coverage with a complete luminous finish. Ha-hem! After wearing the foundation for a couple days now I can attest to the authenticity of this claim. Yes, the foundation provides great coverage and can even be built up to full coverage. Its luminous finish provides the complexion with a subtle and natural glow.

In all its glory I am sad to report that 8 shades is not enough. I picked shade 45 medium beige, which was the closest thing to a tan and yellow toned friendly shade for ya gurl. I've watched many beauty bloggers with shades lighter and darker than mine make shade 45 work for them. So if you're an olive/medium toned girl this might be the shade for you. Aside from the small range of shades my only other "problem/eh" is the sponge that comes with the foundation. In my experience the sponge absorbs a lot of the product, so if you have a beauty blender or another beauty sponge I recommend using that.

Until next time beauties!
XOXO, Bri.

New York Escapade

Start spreading the news! New York, New York! I am probably the second billionth person to write about New York City but who cares. Every step I took in that marvelous city made my feet cry and my head float. It has come to my attention that God has set a unique beauty for every corner of this earth but New York has to be one of the most capturing cities in this world.

Word to New York. Honey, you do you so well. I was extremely blessed to have everything come together toward the end of 2016 and have had the pleasure to visit the city that never sleeps. Most of my days there began early in the morning and ended at about 9pm so I don't know much about that night life.

I think there comes a time in a girl's life after watching Breakfast at Tiffany's, Gossip Girl and Home Alone 2 when you envision yourself in a fancy-can't pronounce it french dress strolling the streets of Manhattan with a cup of coffee in your hand. I could make circles around Lexington, 5th, Park and Madison for days. I could gaze up at the city from the steps of the Met for hours. How gracious the Upper East Side, how exhilarating DUMBO. Modern and old, chique and ghetto-fabulous. History, architecture, subways and to top it all off the most wonderful time of the year. Christmas lights twinkled and lit up the city. I thank God for making everything come together for a time like this, New York, New York.

Itinerary: Time Square, Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center, Brooklyn Bridge, DUMBO, China Town, The Village, Flat Iron building, Madison Park, Bryant Park, Central Park, Washington Square Park, the Met, 5th Avenue light show and window displays, Freedom Tower and 9/11 memorial. I can't wait to see you again!

Lets Talk Concealer

Make Up For Ever: Ultra HD concealer
Goodbye unwanted dark circles and hyper-pigmentation, hello bright and even-toned skin.

What's up beauties! I am so excited to be the bearer of great news; the MUFE HD concealers are under-eye and even-toned skin perfection. This is my new holy grail product. The line comes with 5 concealer shades (Y21 Light, Y23 Light to Medium, Y31 Medium, Y33 Medium to Tan and Y41 Tan), 6 color correcting shades, and 2 deep toned concealers. I will list all the shades to the line down below but today I'd like to share my input on the 5 concealer shades above.

A little goes a long way; two tiny drops of this and you'll have full coverage over any imperfection. I personally don't have horrible dark circles but I do suffer with the occasional breakouts and dark spots :(. No worries, with this baby all is right in the world again. By placing two light drops on the under-eye area, I get a boost of radiance. As if those lost hours of sleep binge watching Netflix never happened.

For covering up dark spots and breakouts, I simply squeeze a heavier drop of this on my hand and with my finger dot it on the spot I want to cover. Blend it away and magic happens. Now, while this magic in a tube has so many benefits, a down side is the poor range of shades. My shade is Y41 Tan; the very last shade. For my beauties with deeper skin tones, the shades R49 and Y52 are available. I double checked the Sephora website but did not find any further information on whether they were concealers or color correctors. I would recommend consulting a Sephora beauty advisor but I will list all the shades down below for reference.

The line is friendly to yellow under-toned skin. A small tip for MUFE code: the "Y" before a number signals yellow undertones and the "R" before a number signals red undertones. I hope this post was helpful and that you guys enjoyed reading it.

Till next time,
    Love Bri.

Conozca Honduras!

#ConozcaHonduras #GetToKnowHonduras.

I finally gathered all my clips of this Summer 2016 in Honduras! This video is a recap of my unforgettable visit to Honduras. I still feel like this video does not do Honduras' beauty justice. It was such an amazing experience and I can't wait to go back!

From the glorious capital of Tegucigalpa to the outskirts of tiny towns; Honduras is fascinating. I surely appreciated every sip of coffee, every moto-taxi ride, every experience. The beaches of Cortes, the city of San Pedro Sula, the waterfalls in Pulhapanzak all left me in awe. Having an appreciation  for the little things my background country has to offer has taught me to see the beauty in every place I visit. Traveling all over the country this summer was a privilege and an experience I am extremely grateful for. I cannot wait to go back and make new memories!

Strobe Master

YouTube Guru, Desi Perkins killin' the strobe game. You "GLOW" girl!

What is strobing you may ask?
Strobing is an intense way of highlighting...

OIL PATROL!

Quick Tip Alert!
Hi Beauties! This post is for those of us that need a little help controlling the oil on our face. I personally have combination skin, which means sometimes the oil is out of control.

I decided to give Benefits oil control products a chance and I'm in love with the results! The three products below work great together but can be used separately.

1. Benefit Cosmetics porefessional primer: is a before makeup primer that diminishes the appearance large pores and creates a smooth canvas if the face.
2. Benefit Cosmetics agent zero shine: is a translucent powder to control any excess oil
3. Benefit Cosmetics license to blot: is a blotting stick to carry around in case we get oily throughout the day

These products can be found at Sephora and Ulta (store and online)
Hope these products are helpful!

Love, Bri.

Contour & Highlight

BLEND BLEND BLEND! So we all know the new trend, contour and highlighting. Contouring creates a more slimming affect, while highlighting makes those parts of your face to pop out.

So the questions are:

What do we contour?

Above is a picture demonstrating which parts of the face should be contoured and highlighted.
Contouring allows the face to appear more slim (sort of like a shadowing affect). Therefore, we contour those parts of our face that we want slim. For example, the sides of the nose, the hollows of your cheeks, forehead, and if you're ready even under-chin. That's right bye bye double chin!

What do we highlight?

Highlighting allows certain parts of your face to pop out and stand out. For this we highlight the high points of the face such as the bridge of the nose, cupids bow, high points of the cheeks, center of the forehead, and if you want under the brow.

and... what are some good products for this?

There are many great products for this. You can choose from creams to powders but I'll list my favorite 3.
1. Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit
2. NYX cosmetics Highlight & Contour Pro Palette
3.NYX Cosmetics Wonderstick

All About the Brows

Hello Beauties! Today it's all about the brows. I've been trying out many eyebrow products on the market but so far nothing has beat my Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz.

For those eyebrow fanatics, yes, the eyebrows will be on fleek! The brow wiz is thin brow pencil with great pigmentation and is easy to glide on. The fine tip allows you to create small "hair-like" strokes for a more natural effect. It has a very natural finish and stays on all day!

small tip: For a more natural effect, draw in with small hair-like strokes. (like little dashes)

dupe for this product: NYX micro brow pencil
