The Controversy

Animal testing is an ugly side of the beauty industry. Many of us know and love many of the companies on these lists. Although my point of view will remain neutral to this subject, I can’t help but acknowledge it.

There are many who oppose animal testing and are cruelty-free. On the other hand, there are others who have simply not had the time to get informed. The thought of little bunnies and other animals being abused is not very satisfying and in fact very sad. Surprisingly many of the widely popular brands like Maybelline, Revlon, MAC, L’Oreal, Benefit, and many more do test on animals. On the other hand, E.L.F, Kat Von D, Too Faced, NYX, Cover FX and a couple more stand by the bunnies and remain cruelty-free.

Small tip: You can look out for cruelty-free products by looking out for a small logo of a bunny that says says “we’re cruelty free” on product descriptions.

Below I included a couple of links that list what brands do and don’t test on animals, so we could all be informed on the subject. Take a look and see if you recognize any of your favorite brands.
